Hello Brothers and Sisters,

Many thanks to all of our Veterans and their families.

Today is a beautiful day, the sun is mostly shinning and it is quit warm. It is one of those days that cookouts and gatherings are made for. Today, is a bitter-sweet day for Gary and I. We had the honor of Pastor Dan and family spending the evening with us, and as were talking and hearing the kids playing downstairs I could not help but feel that this is how it should be with everyone. I wanted to shout to the whole community, why can't we just show each other love, love without judgment, without pride and jealousy, a love that Jesus was showing us. A love that Jesus has been trying to teach us about. Why can't we love each other as if we might not see one another again? I wonder if our hearts would soften and we would overlook each others faults if we thought we wouldn't be able to pick up the phone and call or be able to drive a short distance. Would our hearts change if we had only the neighbors ( the ones we say we really don't like) to talk to and ask for help when we needed a hand? Would we form a relationship with those we overlooked before? Why not? We do after all have the same Father! We are his children, isn't it time we act like it and just as children do, we help our brothers and sisters to make good decisions and we teach and help them to nuture?

I pray we all think about this for awhile and ask the Holy Spirit to work in us and teach us what it really means to be Christ-like.

Grace, Peace and love,

Tina
